Armor Tactics and Procedures

Mostly for the Steel Beasts series of games/sims, but can be used with any game that simulates armor conflict and battles.

Two Tier System:

The two tier system pertains to armor fighting positions, usually made by the engineers. It's a fighting pit that has two levels. The lowest level, The Turret Down position,  is where most of the armor vehicle including it's main gun is below ground, the only part really sticking up is enough for the TC (Tank Commander) to see the battlefield.

Then if you pull the tank up to the next level tier that is the hull down position. More of the armored vehicle is exposed but the main gun is able to engage targets.
